Meet Máximo Mazzocco of Argentina, the Generation17 Young Leader using social media and his Eco House platform to educate thousands about the environment in Argentina and beyond.
Máximo Mazzocco from Argentina is one of our featured Generation17 Young Leaders. When he was growing up in Buenos Aires, Máximo noticed biodiversity loss and waste everywhere in his community. To address the issue, he started going door-to-door in his community, teaching people about sustainable consumption and production. These efforts eventually led him to start Eco House, a nonprofit that has participated in the approval of more than 40 socio-environmental laws in Argentina, actively intervened to generate more than 20 Youth Councils with a global impact, organized digital communication campaigns with more than 20 million users reached and educated more than 100,000 children in Argentina alone.
Máximo believes that, as a generation, it’s our job to build a bridge between the old and the new.
